This year brought about another successful reunion with many first time attendants. Not only did many previous reunion attendees return this year but many first time attendees graced us with their presence. The reunion grew this year to include many of our Morningstar friends which was an incredible blessing. So many people who have not spoken in years were able to reunite in the Tahoe Keys and relive old times and experience the fellowship we all so fondly remember sharing when we were younger.
Sunday morning at Lake Tahoe Christian Fellowship proved to be a history making moment for all who were a part of Morningstar as Jerry Russell came and encouraged us as he always did back at the ranch. It was so inspiring to be back in the presence of the man who helped start the journey for so many of us believers that grew in our walk with the Lord together.

We are excited to announce this years reunion will be held on July 25th, 2009 in the Tahoe Keys thanks to Mike Shreves. We will be using the entire facility with an extra lifegaurd on duty for the pool. Please note that there will be minimal cost and more info regarding the amount will be available soon. We are so excited for another year together and can't wait to see everybody in the Tahoe Keys!! Please check back often for more updates.
Welcome to the Tahoe Reunion Blog looking back over the the last 2 years and how the reunion started.
On August 4, 2007 at Baldwin Beach in South Lake Tahoe, the Children and Grandchildren of Jesse Aguirre joined together to honor his final wish of having his ashes spread in South Lake Tahoe with his wife Hilda. Even though Jesse had gone on to be with our Heavenly Father several years prior to this day, many family friends heard the news and wanted to join in celebrating his life. A gathering of what was originally planned to be a few family members quickly grew into a group of long time friends dating back to the days of Los Aguirres and even before. Jesse was honored with many stories from former employees, friends and family members and memories from his children and grandchildren being shared. Danny Aguirre and Robert Aguirre blessed the crowd with prayer and music.
What was intended to be a celebration honoring the life of an amazing man is now proving to be much more. Jesse couldn’t have known that his final wish to be spread in Lake Tahoe would result in a gathering so large and powerful that it would become an annual tradition.
In 2008, many of the same family members and friends returned to Baldwin Beach in South Lake Tahoe on August 2nd to once again reunite and spend time with one another in prayer, communion and worship. We felt the presence of the Lord show up in an amazing way and believe this is the beginning of many more annual reunions to come.
The date for the 2009 Tahoe Reunion has not been set but is in the works. As more definitive details are decided we will keep everyone posted via email and this blog. Please check back often for the 2009 reunion date, location and details. Please feel free to post any pictures, thoughts, memories, ideas, or ways you were touched and blessed as a result of this reunion. We are excited to see what the future holds for South Lake Tahoe and everyone participating.
